Wake Up Before its Too Late!

I watched Piers Morgan interview the Prime Minister of Israel the other day, and heard him ask some hard questions. But in the end, I came to the conclusion that we really don't grow up. It doesn't matter what we are fighting for, if it's over toys or land, as people, we are selfish. What happened to everyone takes a turn, you stand in line, share, and be nice to everyone? Just hearing that single interview reminded me of how juvenile our political bickering is. With a nuclear disaster looming in Japan, it should bring us all to an abrupt halt. We should remember the Golden  Rule, "Do unto others as we would have them do unto you."

But, all I had to do was change the channel to see both the Left and the Right arguing as usual, and it seems to get nastier and nastier. You think if there was a nuclear disaster in the US that it would change? You think both sides would come together for the good of the American people? Oh, maybe for a day or two, or at least until the situation was under control, and then the finger pointing would begin. The blame game would start. I used to make fun of those Americans who had no idea what was happening with our politics. But no more. I'm starting to think that ignorance is truly bliss. Whoever coined that phrase was onto something. It seems the more I know, the madder I get, and the madder I get, the less I can do about it. So I have decided that I am going to try, just try, to watch less of politics in the news. Who knows, maybe I'll be a happier person! All I'm really trying to say is, it seems America needs a wake up call. I'm hoping we wake up before its too late.
